 This drug is a kind of volatile oil extracted from fresh branches and leaves or ripe fruits of Illicium verum Hook. f. of Magnolia plant through steam distillation.
【Description】

        This drug is a colorless or yellowish clear liquid with aroma similar to star anise. It will become turbid and crystallization will develop when the temperature is low, but when heated, it will be clear again.This drug can be easily soluble in 90% ethanol.

【Cautions】

        If turbidity or crystallization develops, apply water bath heating till the precipitate dissolves and shake up before use

【Dosage and Administration】

        Oral administration, 0.02 ml to 0.2 ml once and 0.06 ml to 0.6 ml daily.

        Sealed and stored in a shady and cool place。
